I liked this story. I loved the idea of spinning and using a talent along with it to create something more. The characters Dehlia and Taneus were well developed and very likable. The story was well written and had some humor as well as drama. I liked that we got to see Sarah and Demetrius on Admar again and see all the changes with them as well as being introduced to Sector Guard, Shade's sister, Isaro. I can't wait to hear more about Isaro and where life leads her. This was a short and enjoyable read and we all need one of those from time to time.Product details

"This was the first time that I had read any of Ms. Grace's work. I loved the way it was written and the way the story flowed along. I also loved the conflict involving the pirates, the dialogue between the characters, and the way the characters were written. The events in which Dehlia and Taneus found themselves were (to my mind) extremely realistic, completely believable, absolutely possible, and totally plausable. Not only did I love "Spinner" far beyond the extent to which I thought I would, but I will be recommending it to everyone that I know that loves a bit of fantasy included within thier romace. "Spinner" will be put permanently placed onto my "to be read" mountain. Dehlia is an empathic Spinner working for a Weavers Guild on a far away planet (from earth). She feels that she is being respected and the yarns and creations are selling for a high price. But she is surprised to wake up onboard a pirate ship, headed for a slave auction. The last thing that she thought was that she was headed to a bridal shower. She should have known that it was an earth custom and it was a trap. But, she doesn't have time to worry about that when she figures out that she is not alone in her bunk. She has woken up to a sexy elf passed out on her lap. At least she thinks he is an elf.
Taneus has traveled far and wide to find and free Dehlia. She is to be his mate and he has waited in stasis for hundreds of years for her to be born and be ready for him. Now all he has to do is figure out how to keep them both alive and get them out of the mess they are in. What will Dehlia think when she realizes what he intends for the future?
Spinner is one of the Terran Times stories by the well known Viola Grace. I have to say when I finished this one all I could think was why was it so short. I realize it is part of an overall series but I was hoping for more. That being said I think Spinner was well plotted and find the idea of weaving spells into cloth an interesting and unique one. And I can't help but smile at her sexy elf characters. As usual, I look forward to more in this series and continue to hope for more lengthy options from Ms. Grace.

Disappointed. Viola has written better. This was no where near her other works. Character development and situations under d we developed and cheapens others successes with trauma and dangerous situations.
An intriguing and unusual twist for this book. Talented Terran females are among the list of exotic pets, and the trouble begins. Good spicy reading.
All her books are well written short stories. I resent badly that I like them enough to purchase a short story for the price of a whole book.
her books are not really engaging emotionally, but they satisfy some need for sweet romance and mild adventure.
I need to figure out why I keep paying four bucks each for them.
