The third an final book in the Dragon Chalise series is just as entertaining and enjoyable as the prior two.

Again, the characters are well drawn and interesting. Particularly enjoyable is Serenna, the 19 yr. old wood nymph with a magical touch. Despite her innocence and guilelessness manor, she is wise in many ways. The extreme sheltering of Serenna from the rest of the world gives an interesting dimension to this fantasy style romance.

Rand, the hero, is consumed with avenging the horrific deaths of his wife and young son. He is traveling to Scotland seeking the last piece of the Dragon Chalise in order to draw forth the murderer. During his shipboard trip, and during a storm, Rand finds himself in a fight to the death. This results in him being lost overboard and eventually washing upon shore near death.

The story shows the affect that the sweet and caring Serenna has on the hate-filled and cold-hearted Rand. Of course there is the suspense and urgency surrounding the need to complete the Chalise that propels the story at a rapid pace. Good writing and an interesting plot have created a most enjoyable book and trilogy!

Thought that the 3rd book in the series was the weakest - but maybe because I hated to see it end! The characters are amazing and you will feel their passion and want to embrace their story. This is the third in the series and I encourage you to read them in order. So not to be mistaken - 1st book is Heart of the Hunter - 2nd Heart of the Flame - with the 3rd conclusion of Heart of the Dove. Do your self a favor and just purchase all three and then find a cozy chair to while away the hours! Do not pass on this series! Darkness, light, sweetness, evil and that is just in the first couple of pages coupled with hot romance!! For those of you that love enchantment coupled with romance and some Steamy physical love scenes this is for you. I will be rereading this series at a later date!
I am struggling to complete this book....and I want to like it because I love Lara Adrian and all her books, with the exception of this one! I am on page 156 and I don't think I can finish it!! I can't stand Rand or Serena! He is whiny and moody! I also don't like how young Serena is both age and spirit! I am going to put the book down again (this is like the 4th time I put it down) and read a few more books and try to come back to it! I am shocked to see how many stars other readers gave this book...
While Randwulf Of Graycliff (Rand) is on a ship to Scotland to try and find the last piece of the Dragon Chalice, he is attacked by one of the shape-shifters belonging to Silas De Mortaine and during the fight falls overboard to be washed up on the shore by a forest glade where he meets Serena and her mother Calander but he has lost the cup he was carrying. As he heals from the wounds he received he starts to see more to Serena and by accident he finds out that by touching someone or something with her bare hand Serena can learn all their memories and feelings.

Will the feelings Rand starts to have for Serena cause him to give up his quest to find the last part of the chalice or will his desire for revenge cause him to lose her? Also who are Serena and Calander and where did her powers come from and why do they live in the glade away from everyone. What secret does Calander have?

In this the third and last book of the Dragon Chalice series the answers will come with a twist at the end that I didn't see coming till the very last.
I'm a serious LA fan. Love Midnight Breed Series… love, love, love it. When I found out two series of hers were being re released I jumped at the VERY CHEAP $3.99 price and bought all 7, I think. 3 in the Dragon Chalice Series and 3 in the other series that starts with White Lion's Lady. FANTASTIC… ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC. I won't go through the whole story as I just can't take that kind of time but I will say you won't be disappointed.

Dragon Chalice is a bit fantasy but for the paranormal romance reader you will not miss a bigger paranormal storyline AT ALL. Ms. Adrian writes great characters , great men, great struggle, perfect villians ( had to change from "great" lol ) and good femaile heroines. The second Dragon Chalice is my fav but they are all really really good and worth far far more than $3.99 … hurry and take advantage of this crazy price for an awesome series. EXCELLENT.
