Cat lost her baby and her husband five years ago. Now her husband is back and determined to protect her from the danger her blog article put her in. Granted her mother was behind her favorite spy kid knapping her and taking to a home she never even knew he had even when they were married. In there lies the demise of their marriage, he was always at her head spy mom’s beck and call but never there for her even when she needed him most much to her mother’s delight.Jack wants Cat back in his life but he just keeps screwing it up and when she leaves his protection and his home he ends up in an accident that end with her having to care for him and giving him a chance to woo her and her a chance to help him with his depression. When her parents show up and her mom send him on a new mission and a promotion when he returns, Cat decides enough is enough and she leaves so he can do the job he loved more than he loved her. When he realizes what she has done he realizes that he loves her more than the job and he can be a hero and her man but how will he convince her.
I have to tell you that chapter 13 is the best chapter in the whole book and it would be well worth your time and money just to buy the book for that one chapter. Other than that the book is just ok and it wasn’t even on my reading list, I was just looking for books to add to my TBR list but given where I am in my life this book really spoke to me. To be honest I was not going to finish this book and put it in my ‘could not get into’ page, but then I suddenly connected with Cat when she went to visit her daughter’s grave and I get why since I visit my daughter’s memorial every chance I get (this part is hard and makes little sense and I am sorry). The author did an amazing job of portraying Cat’s pain and its intensity and I want to thank her for that and for that reason I an giving this book a 3 star rating because even though it was well written and I could connect with the main character and I thought chapter 13 rocked I still felt it was just an ok book and not one I would ever read again.

I have read this whole series, but I think this may be the best one in the series, so far. Through her wonderfully written words.....Emily March seems to always take me to a calm place, with some really wonderful characters that I can really relate to. I think I enjoyed this one so much more than the others, because the characters were so much more developed. There were also a lot more twists and turns in this one, too. And the last two chapters- let's just say it was a total shocker, because I didn't see that coming at all.
Now I can't wait for the next book to be released.
Would I recommend this book? You better believe I would!
This was an enjoyable read! Our heroine had trouble with the law when she lived in Georgia (an understatement by the way). So she pops up in lovely Eternity Springs and literally runs into a law man again. Out of uniform and enjoying a day off fishing turns into the sheriff's rescue of a jumper (attempted suicide victim). Boy, was Sheriff Zach Turner in hot water for his misperception! Savannah Sophia Moore, it turns out, had a very special reason for being near the edge of a precipice.
Eternity Springs, however, is a very special place for people who need a fresh start, people who have suffered hard times personally and financially. And so Savannah Sophie Moore moves there with the hope of establishing a new business, identity, and new start. People in this town are welcoming and embracing. Savannah is disbelieving and reluctant at first to accept that these people are so caring and supportive. In time, as she attempts to establish her soap and fragrance business the townsfolk repeatedly demonstrate the genuine love and support. To her surprise, the one she fears the most is the sheriff yet he comes to her rescue time and time again. He goes above and beyond the call of duty to clear her name and later puts his life on the line to save hers. She believes the sheriff is too good to be true. She pushes him away. Her skepticism comes from her shocking experience and incarceration in Georgia and role of her lawman ex-husband whose lies put her behind bars.
I am sitting here in a stupor right now (it is 8AM) because I stayed up to 3AM last night finishing this book. Sorry if this review is not as coherent as it should be. Anyway, I just couldn't quit turning the pages, and in my "book" that is the tell all between and exceptional book and an okay book. I have to admit at the beginning of the book I wanted the people of Eternity Springs to show up a lot earlier than they did. I wanted to hear all the latest news. In the end Emily March did not disappoint; I read a great story about Cat and Jack and got to catch up on all my Eternity Springs pals.
I was not sure about Celeste in this book. Of course she showed up in the book to say the right thing at the right time and I enjoyed her words of wisdom, but she did not seem as prominent in this book. I wanted more of her, and she didn't have a chance to give out her Angel wings. Also, Ms. March did not really set the stage for the next book in the series. There was a hint about the Sheriff in the town meeting, but I don't know if that is where she is planning to go or not. It also could be Cat's parents, but then her dad seemed pretty okay with his marriage (which I personally found hard to believe).
Anyway I sure hope there is another in this series as I just love reading and falling in love with the people of Eternity Springs.
This is the 2nd time I’ve read this book and find it has touched me more this time. My rating would be 4.5. There were times, when I was reading where I had to stop because I was so moved by that chapter that I had to stop my tears, or combat my anger or even, just stop till my sadness had time to abate. This is a story of how good people acted upon their beliefs as to what was best for another person -and in acting produced years of pain and misunderstandings. I was very moved by recognizing the truths in this story.
